A.Kukela has a PhD in geology with the specialization in assessment of cultural heritage monuments, mainly documentation and evaluation of stone material preservation state, including assessment of damage, weathering and stability. She has a large experience in archaeological excavation fieldwork, mainly in Middle East and Mediterranean region, as well as skills and knowledge in application of non-destructive field techniques, such as GPR studies and 3D scanning. She has participated in several projects regarding archaeological exploration and application of geophysical methods and is a tutor of Geoarchaeology study course at the University of Latvia.
A.Kukela has archaeological fieldwork experience with an application of geophysical methods of analysis. She has an experience in coordinating several research projects and organization of conferences, trainings and other social and scientific events.
