BIO

Petra Schneidhofer is a researcher and scientific consultant at the department for cultural heritage management of Vestfold and Telemark County Council (Norway). Trained as a geoarchaeologist at the University of Reading, she specialises in the use of geophysical prospection in archaeology. Her doctoral research at the University of Vienna explored the potential of palaeoenvironmental information for large scale, high resolution archaeological geophysical prospection data. Her current research focuses on the influence of environmental factors on ground penetrating radar and magnetometry, as well as the implementation of non-invasive methods in cultural heritage management. On-going projects and project contributions include “Environmental factors in minimal-invasive Cultural Heritage Management. The Vestfold Monitoring Project” and the EU Horizon 2020 project “HYPERION”.
