BIO

Radu Gabriel Pîrnău holds a master degree in Soil Science and a PhD degree in Geography received in 2011 from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. He is currently working as scientific researcher at the Romanian Academy-Iași Branch, Geography Group. His main interests focus on pedo-archaeology, digital soil mapping and digital soil morphometrics. He has participated as soil surveyor in several archaeological projects conducted in Neo-Eneolithic, Roman-Byzantine and Medieval settlements or cemeteries from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
